Siliconi SPA has developed Green Anti-Foamers using sustainable raw materials, without any  silicones or mineral oils, to prevent and cut foam effectively, with high-quality coatings that include a % of renewable material in their formulation.


These products are suitable for a wide range of PVC (low to high PVC), high gloss enamels and water-borne varnishes.


The products are supplied as an emulsion or in 100% active form.


It is recommended to use products at dilutions between 0.1 and 0.5%.

As part of our commitment to Sustainability, we are currently reviewing all of our processes to ensure our activity has the least possible impact on the environment. For this reason, we have joined the Voluntary Agreements Program run by the Catalan Office of Climate Change of the Generalitat de Catalunya.

 

This adherence, which covers the activities of facilities in Spain, signifies a public commitment to reduce our carbon footprint each year. And it is part of a number of steps towards increasingly sustainable activity, a process which is bearing fruit with respect to obtaining different certification, which we will be publishing here in our news section.

Our colleagues Patricia Camelo and Marcela Miranda have been at the headquarters in Barcelona for some intensive training. During this time, they were able to take an in-depth look at the different speciality products and their performance in different types of formulations as well as visit local clients and our industrial laboratory.

 

This training has continued upon their return to the subsidiaries in Colombia and Chile, where Patricia and Marcela both hold positions as industry managers in the areas of construction, ceramics, plastics, and adhesives.
