As part of our commitment to Sustainability, we are currently reviewing all of our processes to ensure our activity has the least possible impact on the environment. For this reason, we have joined the Voluntary Agreements Program run by the Catalan Office of Climate Change of the Generalitat de Catalunya.

 

This adherence, which covers the activities of facilities in Spain, signifies a public commitment to reduce our carbon footprint each year. And it is part of a number of steps towards increasingly sustainable activity, a process which is bearing fruit with respect to obtaining different certification, which we will be publishing here in our news section.

By obtaining the 14001, we certify that we integrate all environmental aspects into our daily activities, minimising our impact on the environament, and promoting environmental protection.

We continue to move responsibly towards a management system that is increasingly respectful of our environment. Our colleagues Patricia Camelo and Marcela Miranda have been at the headquarters in Barcelona for some intensive training. During this time, they were able to take an in-depth look at the different speciality products and their performance in different types of formulations as well as visit local clients and our industrial laboratory.

 

This training has continued upon their return to the subsidiaries in Colombia and Chile, where Patricia and Marcela both hold positions as industry managers in the areas of construction, ceramics, plastics, and adhesives.

Iniciamos 2022 con una celebración muy especial: ¡cumplimos nuestro 95 aniversario! Nuestra compañía lleva desde 1927 aportando inspiración y soluciones al mercado español en las diferentes divisiones Industrial, Nutrición y Salud con el objetivo de aportar valor constante a nuestros clientes, representadas, proveedores y al resto de stakeholders de nuestro entorno.


En 1927 nuestro fundador Ricardo Molina abrió su primera oficina en Barcelona y, desde entonces, han pasado muchas cosas. Desde la apertura de almacenes y filiales en Latam y África hasta el lanzamiento de nuestro propio e-comerce. Todo ello pasando por la entrada al Grupo Lel, la apertura de nuestros propios laboratorios de nutrition o industrial y la incorporación de salesforce en nuestro día a día. Entre otros muchos momentos importantes para nosotros.


Seguimos trabajando con la misma ilusión con que el sr. Molina recorría el mundo con su maleta para traer de los lugares más remotos ingredientes que marcaran la diferencia en las fórmulas de sus clientes.


Crecimiento, innovación, solidez, apertura internacional o digitalización son valores que han hecho de nuestra compañía lo que es hoy en día.

On World Oceans Day, the entire Caldic team received a shower speaker as part of our commitment to making our daily actions increasingly sustainable. That's why, in addition to encouraging reduced water consumption, we're starting to measure our carbon footprint and working to explore and develop biodegradable and sustainable ingredients.

 

We hope that, very soon, World Environment Day (June 5) and World Oceans Day (June 8) will be a celebration of a society that cares for them 365 days a year.
