Caldic, new rubber consortium partner

From this April, Caldic will join the Spanish Rubber Consortium with the aim of actively contributing to tackling current and future challenges in the sector.

With over 95 years of experience in the Spanish distribution market, Caldic has a solid track record in the different industrial markets (rubber, plastics, construction, paints, adhesives, etc.) and is a leader in the distribution of ingredients and the development of solutions for major clients in these markets.

Caldic also has the support of LEL Group, the European distributor group to which it belongs, which expands its capacity to find and develop new supply sources that are increasingly sustainable, healthy and safe.

Through this partnership, Caldic hopes to contribute to the development and transformation of the rubber sector by providing inspiration, knowledge and added value.

Registration is now open for our 3rd Caldic Agro Symposium in which industry R&D experts will discuss how to tackle challenges in order to improve crop resilience.

The time has come to transform effectiveness into efficiency.

Agriculture plays a key role in the Spanish productive network and in recent years has faced one of the greatest challenges it has ever faced: the transformation process towards a more sustainable future.

We need to produce more, reducing the energy and climate resources used, in order to supply the estimated population in 2030. The direct focus of all this transformation is soil; there is an urgent need to increase its resilience.

And we are faced with these challenges:

We are adhering to the voluntary agreements program by the catalan climate change office

As part of our commitment to Sustainability, we are currently reviewing all of our processes to ensure our activity has the least possible impact on the environment. For this reason, we have joined the Voluntary Agreements Program run by the Catalan Office of Climate Change of the Generalitat de Catalunya.

This adherence, which covers the activities of facilities in Spain, signifies a public commitment to reduce our carbon footprint each year. And it is part of a number of steps towards increasingly sustainable activity, a process which is bearing fruit with respect to obtaining different certification, which we will be publishing here in our news section.

Caldic obtains ISO 14001 Certificate

We have obtained the ISO 14001 certification as part of our commitment to the environament, and to a better future for all ("Improving Lives"). By obtaining the 14001, we certify that we integrate all environmental aspects into our daily activities, minimising our impact on the environament, and promoting environmental protection.

We continue to move responsibly towards a management system that is increasingly respectful of our environment. Our #Caldic_Commitment is to be a socially responsible company increasingly committed to the environment and service, which is why we continue to develop other ties, agreements and certifications (e.g. commitment to reduce our carbon footprint, renewal of the recently renewed ISO 9001, etc.).

The Caldic Latam team comes to Barcelona for a training session

Our colleagues Patricia Camelo and Marcela Miranda have been at the headquarters in Barcelona for some intensive training. During this time, they were able to take an in-depth look at the different speciality products and their performance in different types of formulations as well as visit local clients and our industrial laboratory.

This training has continued upon their return to the subsidiaries in Colombia and Chile, where Patricia and Marcela both hold positions as industry managers in the areas of construction, ceramics, plastics, and adhesives.
